Luge
Luge is a fast-paced sport that propels one or two people down an ice tube at very high speeds. The person or people lie feet-first on a special sled that has metals runners that control the sled's direction. Athletes can make small adjustments to the luge's left-or-right direction.
Luge first appeared in the Winter Olympics in 1964, at Innsbruck, Austria. |
